Pet Wellness

Ongoing wellness care is the best way to keep your pet as healthy as possible. We recommend annual pet wellness examinations for all of our patients, and biannual wellness exams for senior pets or those with health conditions that require maintenance.

During your pet’s wellness examination, we’ll perform a complete nose-to-tail physical check-up, identifying any areas of concern. We use this time to consider changes in your pet’s health or weight since their last checkup and discuss concerns that you may have about your pet’s health or behavior as well. We can also recommend any lifestyle adjustments that may be needed for their treatment.

Bringing your pet in for regular wellness care increases the chances that potential health issues will be detected, diagnosed, and treated before they become serious. Because pets age at a more rapid pace than humans do, it’s vital to have your pet examined regularly so we can catch illnesses while they’re still in the early stages of development. With our pet wellness services, we can help keep your pet healthy for years to come.

What to Expect During Your Pet’s Wellness Exam

When you bring your pet in for their wellness exam, our highly-trained animal care professionals will conduct a comprehensive physical examination, assessing your pet’s:

Lomira Pet Exams
  • Body condition and weight
  • Mouth, teeth, and gums
  • Eyes and ears
  • Skin and coat
  • Cardiovascular system
  • Central nervous system
  • Urinary and reproductive system

If we detect anything unusual, we can recommend advanced diagnostics or offer a variety of treatment options. We can also address your pet’s need for vaccinations and parasite screening as well as recommending diet and/or behavioral modifications, if necessary.
